" Bapu and Violence "

Today is 30th Jan., if you remember, its the death anniversary of  Mahatma Gandhi "Bapu" ( i just could not remember bcoz it was not a national holiday, got to know only through news paper)......

Whenever we think of Bapu, we think of his idea about  "Non-Violence"....... about  "Ahinsaa".... but if you look around in our society, we find that there is only Violence left in the land of Bapu.....

You must be remembering Jessica Lall's murder... its about twelve years of this senseless murder...

But its not only Jessica who had been killed without any reason, but there are many like her, and some of these I am sharing here to you with  grief.... these incidents are enough to show that how much violent people are in Bapu's land of Ahinsaa..........

1- A TAP : August 2010-

When a man in Geeta Colony, New Delhi woke up and found a stranger's bucket placed under his tap, his rage could not be quenched. He set off to find the offender..... his 19 year old neighbour and stabbed him to death.

2- CHICKEN TIKKA: Dec.2010- In Rohini, New Delhi, Himanshu(24), bumped into a man, spilling his food.....the man and his friend beat up Himanshuh, then shot him in the chest..... enough to kill him on the spot.

3- A KEY:Nov.2010- Ram Prasad(41) in Bindapur, West Delhi, accidently misplaced a set of his friend's keys..... Upon finding that he had been locked out of his room, the friend beat Ram Prasad to death.......

4- WINE : Dec.2010- Manu(25), a liqour vendor in Punjabi Bagh, New Delhi was killed when he informed a customer that his particular brand of wine was not available for sale....

5-SCREW DRIVER: Jan.2011- In Zaffrabad, Delhi, cell fone shop worker Bilal(17) was shot dead by four men for a screw driver. The mobile shop did not had a screw driver to oblige them....

This is what, going on in the land of Bapu.... 

The man who always insisted for Ahinsaa.........

Remember those olden days hindi songs, every second song used to be dedicated to Sanyiaa and Piyaa only......

PIYAA TOOooooo AB TO AAJA.......

SANYIAA PAKAD NA MERI BANHIYAA.....

SANYIAA ROOTH GAYE, MAIN MANAATI RAHI.....

etc....etc....etc.....

On the other hand, if you look at modern songs.....there is nothing much left for Sanyiaas........

Pahle Munni  badnaam hoti thi Sanyiaa ke liye, but our modern Munni is badnaam for Darling...... you know very well that.... Darling can be a companion but not necessarily a Sanyiaa.....

Even Sheela ki jawani is not left for Sanyiaa now....

Have you ever noticed, increasing use of  "I" and "ME" in our conversations these days ???

No ??? well, you might not have noticed, but you do it too..... now don't smile......

In fact all of us have developed this habit....this attitude to take the credit of all right happenings around us.

If you notice, you will find that most of our conversations end up being nothing, but repetitions of   "I" and "ME".

And all of us just try to prove our thought right and our points correct......

Why it is so much there ???

Why do we give so much stress to prove our self correct in  our discussions ???

Why we cant afford to give credit to someone for anything ???

Why are we not prepared to listen what others have to say about us ???

Why do we need to keep stressing our self and keep talking only about our ideas....our thoughts.....our success ???

Why can't we stop advertising about our self and actually start doing something, so that other start talking about our self... about our ideas.... about our success......

I think its only because of the pressure upon us to prove our self much more than what we are actually..... 

Don't you think so ???

" Republic Day & security....."

After a couple of days we are going to celebrate our Republic day, and this is the time one can see our security forces active and vigil, to  make sure that Republic day is celebrated peacefully.... 

You can easily find our Police  looking for the stray people  and  the people involved in crime....... Crime means neither 2G Scam nor CWG Scam, but CHOTI-MOTI CHORI........ UTHAAIGEERI 

Poor Police  people.... What they can do? 

They have been taught to do so.... and the so called their authorities who teaches them to do so, think that the Independence of Independence Day and the colour of Republic Day will get malign with the hands of common Indian people, so they try their best to keep the average Indian away....

They think that people like Mahatma Gandhi...... Pandit Nehru...... Sardar Patel etc have handed over the freedom of nation to them and asked them to take care of it, as the freedom of India is so delicate, that if any common Indian have a glimpse of it, it will get malign..... So these Police have been asked to control the common Indian by any means......

An average Indian will get some relief only after the 26th January, till then its not possible for him to move freely on the roads of cities like Delhi, because he can be stopped any where...... He can be interrogated any where in the name of security check.....

शायद वह कहना चाहते हैं कि "समय के साथ चलते हुए पिछली बातों को भुल कर मुसलमानों को अब आगे बढ़ना चाहिये......."

मैं समझता हूं कि उनका सोचना सही है और समय की मांग भी यही है कि मुसलमान अपना PRACTICAL और POSITIVE APPROACH दिखाऐं , इतिहास गवाह है कि बदले की प्रवृति ने हमें केवल बरबादी ही दी है........ और समाज मे बदला लेने की बजाये जो लोग आगे बढ़ गये वो आज ज्यादा अच्छी हालत में हैं ......

हमें यह नही भूलना चाहिये कि दोषियों को सजा़ देने से ज़रूरी है पीड़ितों के ज़ख्मों को सहलाना और उनकी मदद करना जिससे उन सभी लोगों को एक नई और अच्छी जि़न्दगी जीने का  मौका़ मिल सके.......

" totally confused...."

Recently while visiting a newly opened City Mall at my town, I found myself in totally confused like situation... in fact I was behaving like  Tarzan, who has been just dropped into the city from the deep dense forest......

There were about 50 varieties of tooth paste, more than dozens variety of talcum powder..... well, unable to recall how many variety of shaving creams and after shave were there....... and I lost totally while choosing simply a  tooth paste for me....... I was just thinking, should I take one with added fluoride or the one with salt added or any one else out of those available......

I wonder, how could any one choose if given the herculean task of selecting from 100 types of perfume or 50 brands of shampoo for example....

Well, some of you may make a fun of me here, sometimes it gets so difficult for me to decide even which piece of Jeans i should buy ?....... Easy fit?......Narrow fit ?......or the Baggy style ?.... after choosing one of them, now comes Fabric.... should it be Stone washed or Acid washed ?.....   And finally, should it be  a Button fly or a Zipper fly ?

I am sure friends, some of you must also have got confused while selecting a  Pension plan or insurance plan for you, if not while selecting a jeans or choosing a tooth paste....

I think its all bcoz, we are now nothing but variety addicted people.... and variety is nothing but different versions of the same thing !!!

While looking at my six yrs old son, doing his writing lesson with Pencil n Eraser, I am just thinking about my own Kindergarten days and remembering how easy it was to correct our mistakes those days........ Write....have a look..... if find any mistake..... just rub it off with eraser and write again.......SIMPLE -N- EASY !!!


Just imagine how easy life would be if we treat our self  in a  similar manner....... whenever there is a mistake, just stop ......make a correction and start all over again, as there was nothing wrong done....


How easy it would be if we start again from a zero like situation after each n every  wrong done by us.......


But, ALAS !!! its not that easy n simple now, when we are grown up...... bcoz when we do any wrong, the marks of these wrong done are so deeper, which just can't be removed with any eraser like thing....and making corrections now requires a lot more effort then just rubbing it off..........

Lets Laugh @ Ourself

I got an sms, wishing me to have a Laughter Filled Day, bcoz 13th Jan. has been marked as World Laughter Day...... and just thinking, Do we need any particular day to laugh ???

Its said that "Laughter is the best medicine"... does it mean to take it as medicine, as and when prescribed to us....not at all.... rather it means, start Smiling and Laughing as much as you can... have a hearty laugh over every amusing situation.....

Results from researches show that laughter give a jolt to blood circulation and have positive effects on the heart... it increases certain chemicals that helps dilate blood vessels.... i think these are the reason, enough to laugh every day...every moment....

Its without saying that laughter makes  people feel better..... so why to mark a particular day to have laughter filled...... Lets smile at the simplest pleasure in life... stock up the funny emails, your friend send you,.... save them and read whenever you feel bad.... have something funny to share with others, as laughing with others is even more fun than alone.....

Lets find ways to include Laughter in our daily life.... by either means make sure that we laugh every day.... Laugh even at yourself......

But, Ladies be careful while laughing.......... Bcoz......

"Incredible India …the Bundle of Contradictions"

“INDIA”…. The largest democracy in the world…A unique in its rich culture & heritage..... it’s a place where people make arduous Pilgrimages to shrines of goddesses, but kill their daughters in the wombs…its the Indian mindset  that seeks out a trendy mobile in preference to their basic needs......

Very often we come across a story where the guilty are honoured and the innocent gets punnished… it’s a place where you will find a Leader acquiring huge amount of health and his followers are left with poverty and hunger.

In short its a place which can be referred as a "Bundle of Contradictions"……..

And today I am here to share with you,  some interesting contradictions…… here they are……..

1 : In India, food grains rot up in FCI godowns…. Whereas people die of hunger.

2 : We worship our goddesses with great believe in them ….whereas we doom our daughters.

3 : You order a Pizza and  will get it within 30 mnts at your doorstep… but if you need an ambulance,  may have to wait for hours.

4 : As per a survey report…. There is more mobile access than Toilets in rural India.

5 : For an education loan you will have to work hard to satisfy the bank authorities…. But if you need a luxury car, will get an easy loan with much cheaper interest rate.

6 : A survey says, one in every five Indians is not just overweight  but obese…. And the other survey says, there is about 35% malnourishment in India…. Contradictory reports… but seems to be correct.

7 : Last but not tha least….SEX : it is every where … in movies, Televisions, on road side hoardings, magazine covers. Newspapers….everywhere…. but somehow missing from our own life, bcoz of our busy life schedule and the stress we carry with us, where both of the partners are working for more n more Money, and don't have time for each other….. so it seems SEX is everywhere except where it supposed to be……..in our Bedrooms!!!

Frnds the list of contradictions is still not over… … many are still there and most of them can happen here only…in  INCREDIBLE  INDIA.
